Goodbye

As unimaginable as the thought is, I am not going to live in Texas much longer.

My wife and I have been talking about it for quite some time now, and I think it’s getting to be something we do pretty soon.
DEFINITELY before next summer.

Because the weather really was the first major reason why we wanted to move.
We are so sick of it being so fucking hot for so fucking long.

A few days of really hot is one thing… but months of it is quite another…

Plus, I think the state’s going to shit.
There are a lot of mistakes being made in the governance of the state and I just don’t feel like putting up with it anymore.

I love my state. My family was there at the beginning.

But it’s starting to suck ass.

So, right now, leading the charge and probably where we’ll move is…

Missouri

The state has great tax rates, as well as a couple of deals for older homeowners. As I get closer to retirement age, the more I care about shit like that now.

Missouri also has fully legal recreational marijuana.

Texas, that is becoming a big deal and you’re stupid for being backwards about it.

Marijuana prohibition is ancient bullshit and supported by assholes that are paid to support it. I’m sick of a state being so ignorant.

So, stay tuned… maybe Missouri soon?
