Regardless of party, elected officials voting to ban marijuana or continue marijuana prohibition are making their moneyed interests obvious. Only someone paid by alcohol, tobacco, or pharmaceutical concerns would continue prohibition.
When alcohol Prohibition ended in the U.S. almost 100 years ago, states then decided the rules to make a product legal but controlled.
The members of the Texas legislature have now admitted that they are too stupid to figure out how to do that.
When I’m out in Texas or talking to Texans, I have not heard a single word about the problems we are facing being at all caused by marijuana.
Marijuana legislation is a lot of idiots doing a lot of work to solve none of our problems.
